Coco Martin and Vice Ganda’s Star Cinema movie, “The Super Parental Guardians”, broke box-office records and made a history in Philippine movies. On its opening day last November 30, 2016, Wednesday, cinemas and theaters in malls nationwide opened early and were flocked by movie-goers that some malls even extended their screening until past 12 midnight.
This made “The Super Parental Guardians” a phenomenal, blockbuster and record-breaking hit with a P 75 million first day gross which was confirmed by Star Cinema on the 1st of December, 2016. It was the same day that ABS-CBN’s Dreamscape Entertainment released that FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano registered a 37.9% rating against its competitions in other local networks.
Mall-goers and netizens can’t help but rave and give positive feedback for Coco Martin and Vice Ganda’s second blockbuster movie that social media sites were flooded with statuses about it:

The Phenomenal Stars of Philippine Cinema also made it to the cover of The Philippine Star’s SUPREME with the “Vice and Coco: Mainstream Strikes Back” feature. They were asked and interviewed on how they make the masses and movie-goers tick that the box office stars generously answered.
On the cover: How to make a blockbuster hit according to Vice Ganda (@praybeytbenjamin) and Coco Martin (@mr.cocomartin). Their new film made P75M on its opening day, a figure other movies take up to a full month to make. Whatever your opinion of these two Pinoy pop culture figures, you can't deny that they bring out moviegoers in droves; that they are artists and businessmen combined. We had to ask: How do they do that? Grab a copy of The Philippine Star today! Photo by @reginedavid Produced by @mrdavidmilan Words by @heneral.dizon
