MANILA – Coco Martin felt sad when he learned that Angeline Quinto will no longer be part of his upcoming ABS-CBN series “Ang Probinsyano.”
Quinto was originally tapped to play a policewoman in the series that would have marked her onscreen reunion with Martin, her leading man in her movie debut “Born to Love You” in 2012.
Speaking with ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, Martin said he only learned of the news earlier that day.
“Alam ko magkakasama kami pero nabalitaan ko na nagkaroon ng problema sa schedule kasi meron na siyang mga commitments abroad,” he said.
Martin said he regrets this missed opportunity because he really wanted to work with Quinto.
And then ‘yun nga, ginawa namin ‘yung konsepto ng ‘Born to Love You,’ siya talaga ‘yung naisip ko na maging leading lady. Talagang trinabaho namin. Sinamahan ko siya sa workshop. Natuwa naman ako,” he recalled.
Martin said he has yet to talk to Quinto about the matter.
