It was an extra special day filled with bountiful blessings for the Idol ng Masa, Coco Martin. Since he won three major awards in the recently-concluded 6th EdukCircle Awards which was held last September 10, 2016, Saturday, in the AFP Theater in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

Coming from his yearly recognition in the EdukCircle awards since 2012, he then bagged back-to-back-to-back awards this year as he was recognized as the Most Influential Film Actor of the Year, Box Office Tandem of the Year (with Vice Ganda), and the Best Drama Actor for Television – HALL OF FAME. Coco Martin is the first actor who received the Hall of Famer award – the highest award for an actor in the EdukCircle Awards.

It was as if aplenty of treats or gifts arrived early for the Primetime King as his top-rating primetime teleserye, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, is also nearing its 1 year anniversary come the latter part of September.

Hence, he was on a highly cheerful demeanor when he extended his gratitude to everyone who helped and supported him and his projects, especially his current Primetime show, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, and his upcoming MMFF Star Cinema movie which he began shooting just last week.

According to their website, the EdukCircle recognizes exemplary performances of personalities in news and entertainment whose professional works have made significant contributions to Philippine music, film and television. The winners were adjudged through Public Votes 30%, Students Votes 30% (students cast their votes during EdukCircle international conventions in different academic fields) and the Academy of EdukCircle Judges Votes 40% (the Academy of EdukCircle Judges is composed of college deans from different universities all over the Philippines).
