MANILA – The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2015 entry “Beauty and the Bestie” has already earned more than P500 million in the box office.
This was announced by Star Cinema via its official Instagram account on Sunday.
The ABS-CBN film outfit said the figures exclude the movie’s earnings from international screenings as the numbers only reflect its performance in local cinemas nationwide.
As of writing, the movie starring Vice Ganda and Coco Martin is still showing in more than 100 theaters all over the country.
The MMFF executive committee earlier announced that “Beauty and the Bestie” is this season’s top-grossing entry, beating Vic Sotto’s “My Bebe Love.”
On January 7, MMFF announced that the eight entries have collectively made P1.02 billion, surpassing last year’s box office haul of P1.014 billion.
