AFTER the success of their 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Beauty and the Bestie,” comedian Vice Ganda and actor Coco Martin are set to work again together in one big screen project.

The two recently attended the story conference of their still untitled Star Cinema movie with director Bb. Joyce Bernal.

The two were joined by Martin’s “FPJ: Ang Probinsyano” co-stars, child actors Xymon Ezekiel “Onyok” Pineda and McNeal “Aura” Briguela.

In an interview with, Vice Ganda clarified that the upcoming project is not a sequel to their 2015 blockbuster movie, which was directed by the late director Wenn Deramas.

“The genre would still be comedy and action kasi yun naman ang brand ni Coco and pinagsasama lang namin yung brands namin.”

The comedian added that the storyline will be different from Martin’s present and past projects.

“Dito sa movie, positibo ang characters namin. Pangkaraniwang tao, may hindi maganda sa pagkatao niya pero mas malaki ang positibong bahagi ng mga character.”

As for Martin having a leading lady, Vice said he will not allow any.
“Bawal ang leading lady. Kung meron man, mamamatay agad, first sequence pa lang. Hindi ako papayag. Kailangan ako ang leading lady,” he ended. (Sunnex)
