JUST A THOUGHT: “If you’re always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be.” – Maya Angelou

MAJA FOR TOUGH WOMAN ROLES: When production people cook up a project and line up actors for complicated roles, the first person that comes to mind, according to production executive Biboy Arboleda of Dreamscape, is Maja Salvador.

“Maja is one of those actors who can gear up for any kind of role without inhibitions,” Arboleda said during a recent meet-up for “Ang Probinsyano,” where Maja plays one of two female leads to Coco Martin.
Maja said that playing a policewoman in “Ang Probinsyano” is new to her, which she welcomes. “I want to challenge myself with every new project,” she said.
The female cop role is a departure from her sexy dancer character in the recently ended “Bridges of Love.” It isn’t true, Arboleda explained, that Maja replaced Angeline Quinto in the soap series that premieres very soon on ABS-CBN.

“Angeline begged off due to conflict in schedule, but she will still join the cast as the story progresses,” he explained.
“Ang Probinsyano” is a modern reboot of a classic 90s film that starred Fernando Poe, Jr.
