CM Platinum Stallion award
The Prince of Philippine Independent Films, Coco Martin, was awarded as the ‘Best Male Film Actor‘ by the 2015 Platinum Stallion Media Awards presented by Trinity University of Asia’s Media and Communication Department of the College of Arts and Sciences.
The award was given to him last April 11, 2015, Saturday, at the Trinity University of Asia’s University Theatre / Henry Noble Gymnasium. On its 4th year of giving awards, the Trinitian community continues to recognize the names in the media industry, namely television, AM radio, FM radio, film, advertisement, print and social media, for their remarkable work and their inspiring relevance to the intellectual and social growth of the institution. The winners were chosen by the students from different academic units, alumni, faculty, and non-teaching personnel.
You’re My Boss’ ‘Pong’ (Martin) personally received his award and expressed his gratitude to the teachers, students and the committee of the award-giving body who voted for him. He relayed his sentiment on being an ‘actor’ who works hard everyday just to provide quality content to the television viewers and movie-goers.

He also shared a short story about his life when he was young and how he persevered for his family.

Coco Martin is the male lead of the on-going Wansapantaym Presents: Yamishita’s Treasures (every Sunday night in ABS-CBN) and the Star Cinema movie, You’re My Boss, which is now on its second blockbuster week.
